Lessons
Claudia Heath Farm offer lessons to children and adults of all levels. We teach ages 3 and up.The lessons will cover basic horsemanship through competition level in Hunters, Jumpers and Hunt Seat Equitation.
Each student will have their lessons design according to their learning goals.
We have school horses that are well trained and perfectly suitable for the beginner through advance riders.
Beginner Private Lessons ( 7 and up) -----------------------------------------------------$604 lessons beginner monthly ( $240 value) ------------------------------------------------$220
This lesson the student will learn how to:
The ride time is about 30 minutes, it increases with more experience.
- Halter and lead a horse
- Groom and tack ( saddle & bridle)
- Ride - steer, walk and trot, stop and go.
Group Lessons ( Intermediate/ advanced) --------------------------------------------$50
8 lessons monthly ($400 value) -----------------------------------------------------------$350
Students must be able to groom and tack up their horse with no assistance. Must arrive 30 minutes prior to the lesson and stay 30 minutes after to take care of your horse. Students must be walking and trotting and steering safely to be in a group lesson.
Private lesson 1/2 hour ( under 7) --------------------------------------------------------$40
4 lesson monthly ($160 value) ------------------------------------------------------------$140
This lesson is design for young kids with the love for horses.
They will learn:
- Basic grooming
- Riding on a lunge line or lead line
Due to the great discount offered on the lesson package these rules will
apply:
- Everyone visiting or participating at the farm must have a signed Release Form
- The package can only be used by the person that it was bought for.
- Two siblings may not use the same package.
- Lesson packages expires in the end of the month.
- Payment is due before the first lesson is taken. If you take the first lesson without paying for the package first, the lesson will be charged as a single lesson fee.
- Cancellations must be done 6 hours prior to the scheduled lesson or a lesson will be subtracted from the package, no exceptions.
- Lesson canceled must be rescheduled before month is up, lesson package will not roll over to the next month.
- There will be no guarantees of availability for rescheduling canceled lessons.
- If it is raining please call to see if it is raining at the barn. We will reschedule rained out lessons.
- Grooming and tacking up prior to the lesson is available to everyone at $10 in addition to your lesson price. Cooling and untacking is an additional $10. You must request this service 24 hours in advance.
- After care is available for a charge of $10 per hour per child under 14 years of age.
